"Sweetly Sickening" Full Moon at 14 degrees of Taurus November 6, 2014
The previous eclipse of October 23rd still has us reeling under Neptune’s dreamy influence and it is present here in the testimony of the aspects of this full moon, signaling that we are still afloat on some sort of fantasy boat about the future but are presently not using our oars. As of now, some of us are holding on to the past or present while contemplating rowing towards a better destination. I understand, we are all wishing for that next level, attaining that one thing that has prevented us from achieving our goals over the past few years. Some of us have thought it through, made a plan and yet, here we are just floating under that full moon in a sky full of wishing stars. As I peer at these same stars above us, they point out that some of us our hanging on to some type of security blanket while that boat rocks us gently to sleep.
The celestial grandeur of the full moon will allow us to have our cozy dream for now. Neptune’s sextile aspect pours us a glass of wine, and Venus conjunct the Scorpio sun in opposition, influences our indulgence. It is quite a boat ride. Chocolates, cake, left over Halloween candy, anyone? “Just one more bite,” Venus whispers. Pluto gives us the obsession we all love to mourn about in his perfect little trine; that one little thing that we cling to in order to stoke that feeling of security. I swear that I hear Phil Collins playing, “One more night.” We all have our own issues.
Venus and Saturn are also in a square position to Jupiter at this full moon, so it seems that we continue to worry about our overindulgences, but we just cannot help ourselves. To me, the picture of this full moon shows the final preparation before the big leap of faith that we were so ready for in October. Where and why did we get off track? Oh yes, the chocolate cake.
Relationships are also a big focus of this full moon, and what is not working may begin to leave a bad taste in our mouths. The care of the body also comes to light, and we must nurture ourselves during this time. How are we loved? Do we love ourselves enough to raise our standards of love to a level that we need in order to thrive? Can we be courageous enough to place healthier boundaries in relationships? I suppose we just could continue to eat our cake instead. ( Just so you know, I am going to throw out this chocolate cake, when I am finished writing this-I swear.)
Mercury has turned direct but has not yet surpassed the point of retrograde until November 9th. If Mercury RX seems to be lingering, remember it was conjunct the solar eclipse in October giving us six months to learn something about the past that can be useful for our future. It also can give us six months where it is hard to make up our mind. Luckily, we have Neptune’s guidance along the way so if you find yourself picking a flower down to the stem with, “He loves me, he loves me not”, it is only that the universe is only allowing you to take with you what helps you to fulfill your purpose. Everything else that has outlived its’ moment in your life, has got to go: the addictions, the bad marriage, the abuse, the overeating, the cheating, the dead career. Let’s face it- all of the people who starve you for support, love and affection-they are going to leave. Either get rid of them, or the universe has a way of removing these old components in its own way. If you are the one exerting pain onto others, the universe will guide you to learn as well. (April is coming!)
I suspect Mars is the only planet passing out oxygen at this full moon. He is slowly making us realize just how sick and tired we are getting underneath this lazy indulgent situation. You see, Mars is slowly accelerating to conjunct Pluto soon as it prepares to battle with Uranus in Aries. In the next week past the full moon, we will begin to reach another point of decision that devours the past. A point where our tempers may get the best of us and the storms may engulf us; a point where a line is crossed and we may hasten to move forward, willingly. In fact, during the week after the full moon, when Mars crosses Pluto and squares Uranus, we will get a taste of what December has in store when the tensions of Pluto and Uranus will have us ready to break free once again.
As the full moon arrives, while we sleep in the slumber of our comforts, let us be mindful that actions are required in order to achieve our future goals. We cannot escape through the old familiar habits that are no longer serving our needs. Our indulgent inertia in these areas will only make us miserable in the end. So, eat that last bite of cake, sleep with the enemy once more if you must, take your last drink in the confusing celebration, and sleep away you’re anxiety. But, you must rally your effort soon, the time is coming to grab your oars and make good on your efforts. The eclipse beckons us from November 9th, forward.
Note: The best way to use the energy of the full moon is to indulge in beauty treatments or in nurturing your physical body. Spending time in nature also appeases the energy of Taurus and it might be wise to take a journal because you may want to jot down what Spirit has to say with the continuing Neptune vibe that is upon us.
