A positive transit by Neptune can open the consciousness up to receiving messages from our deceased loved ones and spiritual guides by allowing us to see our complete existence outside of physical form. Neptune is considered the highest octave of loving Venus, because it allows true universal, unbiased love to reach us—connecting us through our complete existence to the universe. A negative transit by Neptune fogs the mind and our perception of truth is weakened as lower energies become active in our physical bodies, environment and spiritual resources. When this aspect is assisted by a planet such as Pluto, we are almost drugged by the mental fog and our mental acuity takes on the characteristics of the assisted planet. So, you can see, that a positive Neptune transit can help us to reach forward without anxiety and to use the help of the spiritual world to navigate a new journey. Yet, a negative aspect can influence us to escape from anxiety—it beckons us, calling us to sleep through timing for action, accept deception or to use drugs to battle our demons.
I write to you about the characteristics of Neptune because the Full Moon in Pisces on August 28th, will embody this energy. This full moon will be exactly conjunct Neptune, which means that our emotional reactions, female energies, and homes will be heavily affected. Neptune energy affects the blood in our bodies by weakening our defense systems while the moon elevates our bodily fluids actually increasing pressure in the brain. These are subtle changes but around this full moon or in the few days before, take precaution of contracting viruses, ingesting poison, and abstain from too much alcohol. Make sure that your homes are protected from gasses and flooding. The biggest markers that I see for caution here include: flooding, spreading of viruses, environmental disasters, surges in weather, lies and deception and seeing things unclearly.
This Full Moon is a Super Moon meaning it occurs on the closest point to Earth within the moon’s natural orbit. The gravitational pull of this moon on our emotions and oceans is sure to be elevated. The emotions, however, are not the same as with a Cancer moon, for as stated, Pisces delivers highs in dreaming, drifting and just floating along the waves of consciousness. The issue that I see here, is the willingness of us all to just let things slide; to accept a lie or refuse to stand up with the truth. I say this because Neptune is still in a positive angle to Pluto, so we are lured into deep beliefs and optimism that may not work out later. Adding to this case is the fact that Jupiter is opposite this configuration, which shows that we are overly optimistic about the area of our charts that Pisces rules for us. For example, “the people” may be overly optimistic in the department of finances, values, and self-esteem. In general, the signs that I would caution the most would be Pisces, Virgo, Aries and Libra. Pisces and Virgo should watch for deception in relationships and Aries and Libra should really be wary of the effects on their health.
There are great positive outcomes for this Full Moon also. Full Moons bring closure, so that the healing process can occur. Often times, Full Moons are markers, like mini points of fate. A decision, dilemma, or situation that occurred in the Pisces area of your chart, would have taken place over the past two weeks. New information was delivered and now it is just beginning to be digested by the Full Moon. With Venus retrograde dominating the New Moon prior to this closure, it is very possible that you may have been able to see a different side of someone and have therefore changed your perspective of them. However, the Full Moon states, that there are still lies and deception afoot, and there is still more information about this person or situation that is not available to you just yet. So, as the great Maya Angelou stated, “If people show you themselves, believe them.” Why is this good? Because perspectives allow you to modify your behavior, dreams, and goals. In fact, sometimes a new perspective is all that you need to change your life.
If you have revisited and old love or relationship, be careful because there is still information missing. Likely this information will be revisited over the next six months, and the truth will be revealed as the Virgo solar eclipse in September, will allow the underlying themes of this full moon to be exposed. As we are still within the throws of the Venus retrograde, this full moon is especially not the time to make a complete decision.
The Pisces Full Moon at 6 degrees on August 28th is pointing to a time in the previous two weeks in which you may have felt intoxicated, foggy or unsure of at least one person’s actions or intentions. The Venus retrograde is allowing the shadow side of others to be exposed, without the rose colored glasses. This is the goal of Venus retrograde: to change our perspectives of others and allow our flaws and feelings to be shown to others. After the Venus retrograde ends, it will be up to you to adjust your perception of someone or something, based on your own moral and ethical guidelines. Your gut feelings will be able to assist you.
The Full Moon points to this moment of changed perspective, to this new idea of values, self-esteem or finance. It preaches that faith should be chosen over escapism-but of course that option is always yours. Pluto’s angle to this full moon is not tight, but Pluto does coax us to hide from the truth. Instead, I challenge you to seek the truth of the integrity of your own perspectives in relationships, in your hopes and dreams, and in the actions towards your goals.
The Jupiter opposition to the Full Moon combined with its conjunction to Neptune retrograde can lead us to overlook a deeply investigative spiritual force, one that resides in our consciousness. Perhaps with the retrograde a previous assumption is being investigated again, despite the deception present.
We will all be more conscious of our spiritual existence during this full moon as messages of synchronicity, dreams and deep intuition seek to magnify our deepest fears and protect us from our own misconceptions and motivations. Listen to your guides, ask for a sign, spend time in prayer, meditate-these are all ways to use this energy wisely. Physically spend time by the sea, go to a health spa, or catch up on some much needed rest, but be vigilant in your boundaries so that others do not take advantage of your weaknesses as this energy passes.
I wish you all the greatest blessings of future progress, tempered by spiritual insight. XX
